ABOUT - LEAGUE CONSTITUTIONS & LITTLE LEAGUE
ABOUT THIS TOPIC: YOU SHOULD KNOW...
REQUIRED ? Having an APPROVED League Constitution is REQUIRED by Little League.

Non-compliance may jeopardize your league.

DISTRICT 6 WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY PROTESTS FROM YOUR LEAGUE FOR ANY REGULAR SEASON OR TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS GAME IF YOUR LEAGUE DOES NOT HAVE AN APPROVED CONSTITUTION.
DEADLINE: League Constitutions must be approved by Little League and ratified by the League's Membership every THREE years.
DEFINITION: Little League Baseball has ultimate authority over every chartered Little League. The League Constitution is the basis for authority in the local league. The constitution outlines the rights and means of "Membership", the officers and their powers, how many Board members your league will have, and other very important policies and procedures.

Every "Member" of every local league has the right to see a copy of the League Constitution.
HOW TO COMPLY: Submit your League Constitution to Little League US Southern Region and the District 6 Administrator when due.

The League Constitution must be ratified by your local league "Members" every three (3) years. Each time it is ratified, a copy must be sent to Little League with the date of ratification.

A Sample Constitution is available on Little League's website under "Forms & Publications". Please use this as a model for your League Constitution.
NOTES: THIS DOCUMENT IS VERY IMPORTANT AS IT OUTLINES WHO IS IN CHARGE AT YOUR LEAGUE !!!
